Diane McBride Benefit Dinner
Diane was born and raised in Bushnell, Illinois. She graduated from Macomb High School and attended Western Illinois University.
On May 22 2008, Diane was diagnosed with colon cancer, and had 14 inches of her colon removed the following day. During this surgery, a tumor was found on her liver. On October 11 2008, half of her liver was removed to get rid of the tumor.
Between colon surgery and liver surgery, Diane underwent 6 regiments of chemo therapy. After live surgery, she was prescribed another 8 regiments.
On November 4 2009, she was diagnosed with lung cancer a second time. A biopsy indicated it is the same strain of cancer that was on her colon and liver previously. The cancer on her lung is approximately 2 millimeters, as illustrated by the black dot above.
In the coming months, Diane will have major surgery again to remove the spot on her lung. Following, she will receive 4-8 more regiments of chemo therapy.
On January 9 2010, her friends and family had a benefit dinner and auction to raise money to help Diane pay her medical bills. Thank you to everyone who contributed or showed support.
